Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of take control with Nicole, I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week so far, and that you are kicking those goals, whatever they are, and you are feeling like you have control of what is happening in your world. Now something that I talk to my clients about quite frequently is around this element of planning. Now, when sometimes we hear the word structure Foundation, organisation, it feels a little bit stuck, a little bit like not movable, that if it’s in there, it’s it’s got to happen. And if something comes in our world that isn’t in there, that that just is not able to be fitted into your day. But that’s really not how I look at planning, or how I look at structure, I really think structure is a real fluid movement of being able to set things up that’s going to support you throughout that day, throughout that week throughout your business growth and life, that it will be able to give you that space and give you that support that you need to do you need or you live seeking to be able to get to that next level, get to the next day get to the end of the week. So if I’m just going to come and talk about planning, to plan or not to plan, that is the question. Now I know that many people sit on both sides of the fence. He knows some people just wing it. And they know that in their head, they’ve got these things to do and, and they managed to get it all done, then they’re just floating around life and succeeding in every way possible. Where else there is the other side of the fence of the people that know there’s other things to do. And they come up to the day and they turn on their computer or they open up their diary, their paper online, whatever it is no right or wrong way. Remember that. And they actually have no idea where to start. So what happens is we come to the desk, we scout ready to work. And then we go around in circles. And we keep going in circles until we eventually land on that thing that we think isn’t a priority for today. But we’re not really sure. But look, that’s what’s the yelling at us right now to get that done. So we’re going to do that right now. And then we’ll finish that and we’ll move on to something else. And then we’ll go on get distracted by social media for maybe half an hour scrolling through reels and thinking about that post that we were supposed to have done. But we haven’t allowed time to create that. And then it gets to lunchtime. So we probably should stop and have some lunch. And by the end of the day, we sit there. And we’re like what have we actually achieved today? I’m not actually sure have I done those things that are really important, old dear. No, I’ve got a client session coming up on Wednesday. And there was the work that I was supposed to do for that session. And I haven’t done that. And I’m not going to have time now to do that tomorrow. So

let’s flip that.

Imagine a world where you have a set time each day. Sometimes a bit longer on maybe a Sunday or whatever day that you choose that you actually sit down and you’re viewing your week. lounge. See you soon. So we’ve looked at the week had the two weeks out and we know that we’ve got these really key important things coming up. Now we can start to look Those days, and scheduling that time to do those important actions. So just say, at the Wednesday of that second week, you’ve got a presentation that you’re you’re about to present. This is a big important presentation, you need some time to create the create the presentation, what is the messaging that you’re you’re going to be portraying on that day, then we need the imagery and the you know, the things that go with it. So your PowerPoint or whatever else, your handouts. Is there anything else that you need to do? Is there a, you know, a signup page you need to create at the end of that to capture your audience’s information to provide those those handouts or whatever it else might be? What is the offering that you’re doing in that presentation? If that one’s available? And do you have to do anything special to get that ready and going, so we need to get that done? And we need to get that action complete? Not on the Tuesday before the presentation, not even the Monday before the presentation? Let’s have that done the week before. So that leading up to that presentation? There is no answer, there is no stress, there is no nothing that’s going oh my goodness gracious me, I’ve got this thing coming up. And oh, it’s crazy. But you know what, you’re going to arrive there now. Because you have allowed that time to give yourself that space to create a Make sure your messaging is right, you’ve created the presentation or your assistance created that presentation, and you’ve run through it and you tested it and you’re happy with how it works. And you know what I’m that day on that morning, you grab that coffee in the morning, and you have your breakfast and you can sit back and give yourself that space to get ready to stand up virtually or physically wherever it might be. And you’re ready to just be your best version of you on that day, there is nothing overhanging that you need to be worrying about right now. Because you’ve taken care of that. And all of that was down to two weeks prior, having a look at what’s coming up. And actually giving yourself that space to action, those items that you know are going to make you feel so much better on the day of that particular presentation. That’s just one example of that. This is something that if you implement a new start to do this planning process on a daily basis, how amazing were you feel, getting up each morning, coming to your workstation, going to wherever you are that you are going to perform your daily duties, and know that everything is there ready to go, you know that you open up, click up or you’re open up your diary. And there it is planned right there. This is the first thing I’m going to do today. How refreshing is that? So you can sit there and off you go. So I would love for you to take this opportunity to ask yourself that question. Am I a person that needs to have that structure in place to bring that ease into my world? Would by having this time to plan that out? Is that going to create a space for me to be able to now have some time to work on the business? Is it going to be able to allow me to really step into who I want to be? Is it now going to make sure that I am going to that exercise class first thing in the morning on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for instance, I know that that’s my personal time. And that is self care, which is a non negotiable in my books, radio, I hope that you take this on board, and make those little tweaks to your week. And please share it. This is something that’s really resonated with you. I’d love you to pop it into your Insta stories and tag me in there. And just share that journey. For me. I’m so happy to support you through this to finding a way of planning that’s going to really support you to get you to where you want to be. Alright, everyone, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week and enjoy creating space
