Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of Take Control with Nicole. Today I am recording from the fabulous Chadstone Waterman office here in this beautiful space. If you had a look at my stories last week, you will see I mean this gorgeous room with lovely backdrop here. Really thinking about getting some wallpaper in my office now so watch this space but today, I wanted to share a story with you. So it was a couple of weeks ago, it was actually book week or just before book week, and we went to Kmart to try and find an outfit for Sebastian. He had decided on one and last minute changed his mind. So six o’clock one evening off, we jumped in the car through the traffic, we got to Kmart. We found that there were no costumes remaining. So anyway, we MacGyvered something together and he went and he was a guy from Roblox. He was super happy. As we were walking around all through the Kmart things as you do. I looked at a rack and it was this jumper there and it was pink, it had like a turtleneck and it was woollen. And it was beautiful. And I really liked it. So I picked it up and I looked at the size and like perfect. And I looked at the tag and it was $5 and I’m like great, chucked that in didn’t really think anything more of it. Got home tried it on I’m like, oh, that’s perfect. I like crop jumpers. It just sat at the exact right place on me. For me it was warm, it was cosy. So anyway, I took it off because I had to put something on underneath, didn’t want my tummy out. I looked at the label, and it was a kid’s jumper.

At the time, I was like, ah, wow. Okay, so I’ve now discovered a whole other area of a department store or of a store that I can look at for things. And it got me thinking, we sometimes are so set on the place to look for the thing that we forget that if we look around and outside the peripheral vision of what we’re doing and what we’re trying to look for, create, all the things, that sometimes the exact right thing is on that rack just jumping out for you to take it home and enjoy it.

Just interrupting this episode for one little message. If you have been listening and love what you hear and want to come in connect, we have a Take Control with Nicole Facebook community right over there on Facebook that I would love to invite you to come and join us. We are a supportive community, we are looking to really take action in our businesses and change the way or evolve the way we’re working right now. So I invite you to come on over and join our community and connect with us all community as the essence of everything in business, being able to really build those relationships that you can nurture and grow and support and celebrate each other. Oh how fabulous. I hope to see you over there. Pop on over to Facebook. Take control with Nicole. See you soon.

Since then, I now have opened my eyes a little bit wider in the shopping front. We’re talking at this moment exactly. And I have since found other jumpers in the kids section that fit me perfectly and prior to that I could never find something that had the exact right fit. So I’d love you to think about that in your business, in your systems, in the way that we’re operating, are we really trying to squeeze ourselves into something that is just not the right design for us is not the right fit for us is something that you know, old mate next door has come in and said you must use this. Let’s open our eyes a little bit wider. Have a look at what is available in the wider schemes. Ask our fabulous humans in our communities. What are they doing to get inspiration? Be curious, try on that thing that may not seem the right fit right now. If you press those buttons, you add your unique sparkle to it all of a sudden it can be the exact right thing for you and your business. So yeah, random story today but I just wanted to share that with you because I thought it was really quite funny. That I picked up a jumper, and I knew it was in the kids section. When I look back and think back it was I was in the kids section. I was right there. So of course, it’s a kids jumper. But it looks perfect and it fits perfect. And I love it. It’s been great for winter. You’ve probably seen it on my socials, my pink jumper there. Super cosy. So yeah, give yourself that space to think about things that little bit differently. What is it that you could find that could come into your business and really bring you joy? So that’s it for today. Just a really quick short one. I’d love to know, have you had that experience before? Where you found that thing that fits really well? Okay, well, whatever you’re doing today, have a fabulous rest of your day and enjoy creating space and time freedom. Bye now.

Well, there we go. Thank you so much for joining me today. It’s been such a pleasure having you on board. Have we connected on social jazz? If not, please come on over.
