Welcome to Take Control with Nicole, as business owners we experience first hand the fine line between our personal and business lives. During our conversations, we will look at simple hints and tips to create time, reduce overwhelm, and help you to navigate through your journey to where you want to be. If you’re looking for smarter ways to work, and create space and time freedom in your day, then you’re in the right place. All right, let’s go.

Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of Take Control with Nicole. Taking action. This is something that I think I say on the daily. Taking even the smallest moment in time, that micro moment, that micro action towards your building big will start to compound and make it feel just beautiful that you have achieved that one thing. I just love the feeling that when we have done the things are we’re taking that step towards the things. And I’ve seen it time and time again with my fabulous humans in my community when they actually do the thing that we’ve been talking about, and putting it into practicalities in the way that they’re working each and every day. Oh, it’s just so exciting. You would have heard as well, what is an example, I’ve signed up to all of these programmes and not actually done the major thing, which is implementation. You know, oh someone told me about this, that and the other, but I haven’t yet done the thing. So we acquire knowledge very easily in our worlds, there’s so many things going on over in social media, we can’t help but absorb this information. But really the power is when we transform the knowledge into practical application into the way that we move and dance between the things, how we really live and enjoy and work on the daily basis. It can be as simple as let’s take a frame out for a minute. Okay, so something that can seem really big. Imagine that big thing that you know has been on your wish list on your to do list for the longest time. Imagine that. Great. Now you’re thinking of that how’s making you feel that feel really, oh, it’s just so much to do this. I can’t ever possibly, I don’t have the time to do it. I don’t have the time to do that. So it’s just going to wait there for the rainy day for the you know, the rainbow day where I’ve got all this miraculous time that’s just appeared from nowhere. Little hint and tip there. That day is not going to come unless we start taking action on these things. I know right? Crazy. So that big thing, let’s think about what we can do that’s going to allow us to actually get there. Dorothy didn’t just arrive at the Emerald City. Right? She went on a journey. She started with the Munchkins in Munchkin lab and she did the beautiful dance in the song with Glinda the Good Witch coming down in the bubble and all the Munchkins doo doo, doo doo the dancing and off they go. They skip down the yellow brick road. She meets the Scarecrow. She collects him on the journey, she meets the tin man, who does she meet next, then she meets the lion all the time, learning knowledge taking that one step in front of the other. Learning that trees that grow with apples are actually alive and that we can’t go and pick those things off. All of these bits of knowledge are getting acquired. But if she didn’t take that first step, she’d still be back in all Emerald City having a jolly old time, mind you. It’s a pretty fun, fun place to be. But she wouldn’t get to Emerald City.

Just interrupting this episode for one little message. If you have been listening and love what you hear and want to come in connect, we have a Take Control with Nicole Facebook community right over there on Facebook that I would love to invite you to come and join us. We are a supportive community. We are looking to really take action in our businesses and change the way or evolve the way we’re working right now. So I invite you to come on over and join our community and connect with us all. Community is the essence of everything in business, being able to really build those relationships that you can nurture and grow and support and celebrate each other, oh how fabulous. I hope to see you over there. Pop on over to Facebook, Take Control with Nicole. See you soon.

She wouldn’t actually have travelled that journey and enjoyed and acquired all of that knowledge, fallen asleep in the magical poppy fields and actually defeated that big bad witch, she’s a character that, watch Wicked. If you haven’t seen Wicked, go and listen to the soundtrack of Wicked it’s amazing. Anyhow, I digress. The point of the story is, if Dorothy hadn’t taken that first step, that first micro action to skip on down the yellow brick road, she would be exactly where she started in magical land. Do you want to stay in Munchkin land now your magical land is wherever you are right now. And if you’re happy, and it’s all working, and it’s beautiful, fabulous, I want to hear from you. Because let’s chat. That sounds amazing. But I know there’s always things that are wanting to be improved. We’re wanting to take that next step forward, it seems a little bit daunting, it seems a little bit like that’s a never going to happen scenario. If we think about it, in micro moments, that one step forward, what is that one micro action that you can do today, that’s going to travel you down your yellow brick road, towards whatever that beautiful emerald city is for you. It could be a new project management system. It could be making the way that you communicate with your clients and your team. better, more enjoyable. I am all about enjoy. Enjoy is a big thing and a big word in my world. All of those things are connected and waved back through into that feeling of enjoying an easy. I remember a conversation a little while back. Kathy Rast, the fabulous Kathy Rast that I mentioned on every podcast. Yeah, anyway, go and check her out Linguistiologist, Pierre reminded me if you a month or so ago, like this just feels feels really easy. But that shouldn’t feel easy, should it? and she said, “Nicole. That’s right. When that feeling is easy. That’s the exact right thing for you.” I’m like oh, of course, yes. Everybody’s easy is different. Everybody’s way of doing and dancing, downloads, roads, and finding the systems and the the structures that work for you are beautifully unique, and how fabulous that they are, the world would be rather boring if we were all cookie cutter and all from the same place on that shelf. But what we all have in common is that drive to be able to do the things and improve the way that we are, the way that we are being. And all of those things come back to those micro moments. So let’s look at those actions today as not daunting, let’s think about them as exciting. We’re going to learn those new things, we’re going to connect with that new person, we’re going to introduce a new micro way of improvement of working so that going forward, things are easier for you, your team, your clients, and your community, streamlining, making it efficient, and ultimately taking action to make it easy. Well, there we go. I hope that you had that thing in mind. I would love you to share it with me pop on over to Instagram. That’s where I hang out @theartisanssolutions.
